…. and just like that, the VCU cinderella team took the sails right out from beneath every KU fan watching yesterday’s NCAA tournament game.
Oh wait. That’s a different story. One that I would love to turn back the clock on and create a different outcome. Not even bootcamp class in the falling snow late yesterday (yes, we’re that hardcore around here … LOL) could take my mind off the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach over that game.
This little story, however, has a much happier ending – thankfully, that toothy grin also brought joy to my broken Jayhawk heart. Something I believe his mom and I share today.
This story is the second installment of “Sam I Am” … you might remember him from his newborn session. And now he’s a happy, on-the-go, six-month-old with the sweetest little disposition. These are some of my favorites shot natural light in and around their home:
Just a few more days to take advantage of my Spring special on Facebook – check it out in the profile picture on my fanpage.
Each of these amazing young women has been waiting patiently for their spotlight on the blog (and this could be a long one, so you may want to grab a cup of coffee, kick back and relax). I love high school senior sessions – especially the girls – because they are such a big contrast to the newborn/baby/child photography that I mainly do. I adore the colors, textures and outfit possibilities as well as the challenge of ensuring their personalities and interests come shining through each image. And most importantly, I love being able to give them a reflection of themselves that perhaps they don’t always see (remember what it was like being a high school student trying to stand out while fitting in?) I’ve saved each and every email and happy gram after the session as a reminder that the experience of the session, the planning, the excitement is just as important as delivering artful, beautiful images, too.
Here are some of my favorites from three Class of 2011 seniors I shot this past fall (there are more to come as well!):
FYI, there is absolutely no reason the next images are smaller in width other than a flub on my part when resizing in Photoshop, but if I have to re-prepare these for the blog and Facebook, they may never get posted, so I’m running with the smaller sizes on this one. (I told you I left my brain in a frozen rum drink on the beach!)
Happy browsing!
