The latest issue of Her Life Magazine is out and I’m beyond excited to be photographing a variety of Kansas City’s most unique, most innovative, most successful and most interesting businesses and organizations for the publication.
Inside the October issue, you’ll find a peek at the upcoming Junior League Holiday Mart (definitely must attend!), fabulous fall getaways, offers and features from KC’s finest spas and hip boutiques … and so much more!
So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Her Life website to check out the online version or pick up the October issue at a variety of offices, retail outlets and boutiques around town, too. For the latest on Her Life events, be sure to “Like” them on Facebook.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know it’s political campaign season on the national front. And the same holds true here in Kansas. In that vein, last weekend I had the great pleasure of spending the morning with Sean Tevis and capturing some commercial photography images for the launch of his upcoming bid for Kansas State Representative-House 15 Olathe. I learned that he’s incredibly passionate about the environment, specifically our water supply and alternative forms of energy; he’s a KU Jayhawk, having grown up right here in KC, with a background in journalism; and he claims to operate Johnson County’s oldest, continually-running blog. But more than that, I learned that he’s a wickedly smart, entrepeneurial-to-the-core-genuinely-nice-kind of guy who’s running for office because he knows he can make a difference … that it’s simply time to act if we want change in our own backyard, change in our state and, subsequently, change in our nation.
Below are just a handful of my favorites. And I couldn’t let this post slip by without giving a heartfelt shout out to Cindy at Common Grounds Espresso Bar in downtown Olathe (at the corner of Park and Cherry). Her checkered table cloths and lettered windows provided just the right backdrop for several of our shots. If you haven’t checked her out yet, drop on by and support our local businesses … you won’t be sorry you did!
