Fresh squeezed l Kansas City baby photographer
The title says it, folks.
Every scrumptious little roll and baby chub. And those pinchable cheeks.
This is adorable Jack at 6 months. Super smiley. Super happy. And fresh squeezed.

Check out the lone curl on top of his head. Love it!

Walkin’ on sunshine l Kansas City family photographer
“Walkin’ on Sunshine” kept popping into my head while editing this family photography session. You know the one by Katrina and the Waves. And just in case you’re too young to remember, here it is. (Don’t be mad if it’s stuck in your thoughts for the rest of the night.)
We shot this one just before sunset and I’m sure the inspiration for that little number in my head has something to do with the wash of warm light all around us, not to mention the happiness emanating from this family. Love them!
Below are many of my favorites from their session. I’m slowly getting through the backlog of blog postings. To that, I say “And don’t it feel good!”

I had so much fun with the haze from the sun, the back lighting and a watercolor texture added in post-processing. I can see these displayed as gallery-wrapped canvases.

Don’t mess with the curls, people l Kansas City child photographer
I’d love to tell you I was running the show during this session, but that would just be a lie. That said, I can tell you I came well prepared.
You see, I have one of these. Nearly the same make and model to be exact.
The same hands-on-hips-tell-you-how-it’s-gonna-be little firecracker. Preschool-going-on-20. Yep, that one.
Minus those beautiful golden curls.
And, hey, the picture says it all. “Don’t mess with the curls, people.”

Sweet boy l Kansas City baby photographer
Here’s another sweet boy I had the pleasure of photographing recently. I don’t always promise a sibling shot, but am loving the cooperation we got from big brother for this one. Enjoy a handful of my favorites from his session!

I’m a sucker for those little dream-filled smiles …
