But I’d have to say he’s looking like such a little man lately … fitting for someone who’s about to graduate to big brother status in just two days. You’ll likely see him again in about two weeks when I post his baby brother here on the blog. I love the fact that he got his own special four-year-old session and time with mom before the world as he knows it changes in a big way.

Totally unrelated note: Whether this is your first or 50th time visiting the blog, you’ll notice a lot of studio sessions lately. That’s because Kansas City has been freezing since before Thanksgiving – something that puts a slight damper on outdoor, on location natural light photography. So I’ve gotten plenty of practice with the new studio lighting, backdrops, indoor props, etc. But don’t worry — we’re on a warming trend and will be out and about with the camera very, very soon! The option of studio imagery will always be available for maternity, newborns and children, but I’m definitely getting cabin fever.

On this next shot, I had just asked him to lower his eyes so I could see his eyelashes and he raised his hands, too. I think he looks like he’s praying. Perhaps he was. “Dear God, please make her stop taking my picture.” LOL.
