Suffice it to say, flying back to KC for their urban child photography session was an event all by itself for this busy mom and her three little girls. I’m sure many of you have done it, but I can’t imagine getting three little ones aboard a plane with all sippies, wipes, toys, gear, snacks, etc. in hand! Pretty sure I’d lose my mind somewhere between security and “please restore all tray tables and seats to their upright and locked positions.” But that’s another story.

We first shot the girls a little over a year and a half ago and boy have they grown. When we talked about their outfits, I knew I was in for something special, and mom – a designer and seamstress – didn’t let me down. She runs and designs specialty maternity and baby items for the popular My Pinkytoes Baby. Like so many of us, she’s got a gazillion balls up in the air between family and work. And, to boot, she lost her high-end camera on the trip back home. So, Brit, hopefully these will put a big smile on your face.

On the list of “must have” shots was a generational series featuring grandma and great-grandma. Yep, you read that right. The two fabulous women on either side of the first two shots are grandmothers! All I can say is amazing genes. Whatever it is, I’ll have what they’re having. I mean, really. Great-grandmother? Really? I’m gonna need to see some I.D. please.

We rocked the colors in this session, but I found several that my split personality is LOVING in black and white. Enjoy!
