More babies! Playing catch up … {Kansas City baby photographer}
I wrapped processing beautiful Kenadie and handsome little Brekken over the past two weeks and hadn’t made it back to the blog to add a few additional favorites from their sessions. There are three more newborn girls coming up in the next three weeks, so stay tuned. Maybe it’s spring … I think my business might be trying to tell me something …. hmmm. I’ve got a few new things “vintage” and “shabby” we’ll be trying out – should be fun!
Newborn Session Timing
A helpful tip if you or someone you know is interested in a newborn session: Book your session early while you’re still pregnant. Not only does this remove the task of remembering to schedule a session once you’ve got far more important things taking up your time (like feeding, bathing, diapering, etc.), but it helps us secure a general timeframe around your due date for your newborn session that is within 10 days of birth, preferably about six days following birth. That’s the timeframe most newborns are most easily “molded” into those sleepy, curly positions that we love and it’s typically the period before any baby acne or colic will set in if it’s going to happen. I’ve talked about this in previous posts, but it’s always a good reminder every so often.
Another unique idea: A newborn session or First Year Package is a great shower or gift idea for any new mom-to-be … gift certificates are available in any denomination, contact me for details.

LOVE love love the black and white one with the hands and the baby’s head. Great work!
