Their own little Valentine {Kansas City baby photography}
Flowers and chocolates pale in comparison …
Enjoy a few more from Esmee’s three-month session, complete with heart-covered hat and all things “pink.”
I mean, seriously. Who among us could say “no” to this?

Pure sweetness {Kansas City baby photography}
Those are the two words that keep coming to my mind as I finish editing this session. She’s three months old now and developing quite her own little personality. Unlike her newborn session where she was wide awake and ready for the world, we knew we could outlast her this time and get some beautiful shots of her snoozing away. There’s something so magical about a sleeping baby – they’ve become some of my favorite shots during the first six months.
Aside from some of the most beautiful blue eyes to grace this blog, another thing’s for sure: She’s never going to have to spend a dime on lipstick or lip gloss of any kind. Her little ruby lips remind me of a doll I had when I was five years old.
Enjoy some of my favorites as I complete this session and keep watching the blog for more this week, including a little guy that’s sure to garner his fair share of oohs and ahs. I guarantee it.

I can’t decide if I like the previous shot in color best or black and white!

She’s that girl {Kansas high school senior photography}
Let me preface this post by saying “loooooon post ahead.” Seriously! I am as excited to post these as I know she is to see her images. And I completed the full gallery tonight, so I’m including her slideshow because there isn’t room here to post all of the rock-star shots we got during this session. I am in LOVE with all them. And credit truly goes to Sydnee for providing me with such a great canvas. In a word, she’s stunning. And they drove three hours for our session (thank you both!)
(Here’s the part where I sound like Meredith, gang):
There’s a show on one of the networks now … I’ve only seen the promos … but it’s a reality show focused on inner beauty and the contestants are these drop-dead gorgeous people on the outside, but unbeknown to them, they’re really being judged on their character. Well, Sydnee could be that girl. Actually, she is that girl. If she were on the show, I guarantee she would take the top prize.
At least once, maybe multiple times in our lives, we’ve all met her. The one that’s crazy talented, smart, funny, genuinely nice and look-at-those-eyes-and-that-hair-are-you-kidding-me beautiful. The one that you know you’d be friends with before you even really knew her. In just an afternoon session, I can honestly say all of these things are true.
So, without further ado … I’d like to share an amazing high school senior session with that girl.
P.S. Sydnee: “Don’t cut it.”

It’s a belly thing … {Kansas City maternity photography}
It’s hard to explain the obsession, but there’s just something about a pregnant belly. I got enough e-mails about that very thing after the last post to let me know I’m not alone in this admiration. As promised, here are a few more favorites as I wrap post-processing on this session. Enjoy!

Anxiously awaiting baby {Kansas City maternity+baby photography}
Let’s just say you’re definitely going to see Part II of this sneak peek later this week when I finish post-processing … there are simply too many great images and I’m about halfway through this session. Oh my. She has one of the most beautiful pregnant bellies I’ve ever seen and she’s just a few weeks away from delivery. We had an amazing session and I love that they were willing to get creative and go with the flow (which we did!) What I also love is that I (and you all) will get to meet little Kenadie when she makes her arrival and we’ll see her every three to four months during her first year as a part of the First Year Program.
Here’s to a wonderful final few weeks of rib kicks and anticipation. We’ll be thinking about you! In the meantime, enjoy a few of my favorites thus far.
