With one look … {Kansas City child photography}
… he melted my heart during our session and I lost it all over again during post-processing. I was so moved by the depth of his expressions. Just 3 years old, but so insightful and, true to form for any three year old boy, so inquisitive. We captured a host of great shots with mom and dad, too, but I’ll save those just in case they choose one for a holiday card. I’ve seen this vintage tractor on many occasions, but the light was never quite right for the session, until this one. And he couldn’t have been dressed more perfectly for these shots, complete with his “puppy” sidekick. We kept our vintage theme going when mom and dad pulled out his little red Radio Flyer tricycle. I’m pretty sure I let out a squeal of joy at one point when I caught a peek of an image we’d just taken on my camera. I had fun playing around with the bright colors, vintage textures and pure black and white design treatments.
Enjoy some of my all-time favorites below.

I don’t know which of the next two shots below I love the most … bold color or vintage? How about you?

I love the way mom is loving on him in the background …

This one begged for a rich black and white …
