And babies make five {Kansas City baby+family photography}
Warning: the following images may cause spontaneous ovulation, feelings of joy and that desire to have “just one more …” Or in this case, two.
I posted a few peeks of these little guys a week ago and am excited to share some of my all-time favorites. We captured the twin boys and their family as they are in their home and also managed several “art” shots as well. I think the fifth image down could well qualify for “first official smile.” I know, at three weeks of age, probably just gas, but I’m sticking with my version of the story. Wonder what he was dreaming about?
Enjoy!

Family {Kansas City child + family photography}
I’ve photographed this family many times over the past two years and I’m so excited to blog about their fall 2008 session. We captured a first birthday for a little guy with the biggest blue eyes I’ve ever seen and the family’s fall session on one Saturday and then we captured twin big sisters as they turn four years old during another session on a different day. With birthdays just weeks apart, their family is very busy this time of year! Breaking up the sessions allowed us to focus more singularly on each child and get those beautiful family shots that make for great holiday cards and wonderful memories. I’ve found that trying to squeeze too much into one session exhausts the kids and – to an even different degree – mom and dad. Enjoy the next two posts and the amazing expressions we achieved!

My how they grow! {Kansas City child + family photography}
These two are definitely growing into their own skin … developing very unique personalities from one another as they turn four and expand their friendships and connections of one another. But they’re still very much connected, so very “twins”… so very the same.

If they all had this temperament … – {Kansas City baby photography}
We’d all have 20 kids running around. I’m totally serious. She has the best disposition!
I posted a quick peek of Anna’s six-month session a few posts back. Here are the rest of some of my favorite images from our time spent Saturday morning. In case you can’t tell, she’s got quite an obsession for her toes and she’s “this close” to taking off on all fours. Go Anna! (Isn’t she the sweetest?!?)
The blog’s moving pretty fast this time of year, so if you haven’t already, click on the “Subscribe” tab at the top of the page and sign up to receive automatic e-mail updates when a new session is posted. There are more great sessions to come this week!

I’ll take two – {Kansas City baby photography}
Last Friday, I had the pleasure of shooting not one, but two sets of twins in two separate sessions … no relation to one another. Here’s a quick peek of several images that caught my eye during post-processing. These little guys are just three weeks old – born premature – and already they’re full of expressions and almost “insightful” little looks. Big brother got in on the act, too … an image below that I love, love, love. This session will be a definite mix of color and black and white! You’ll see more as I finish editing in the coming week. And watch the blog for sneaks of four-year-old twin girls and an urban session in the next few days.

A very urban engagement – {Kansas City engagement-couples photography}
My jaw nearly dropped when they got out of the car for our session. We had discussed attire and locations prior to meeting and we had talked about the dress, too. Not the vintage wedding gown she’ll wear in January …. but the other dress. The one that played into our vision of sassy, fun urban images. And not just any dress with any accessories. It had to be that dress with those shoes.
I was pinching myself for so many reasons because I knew what we were about to capture.
We had beautiful weather … and a candy store of textured backgrounds. But most importantly, we had a boy and a girl in love.
Meet Anna and Marcus. Soon-to-be husband and wife.
