What a difference … [Kansas City baby photography]
three short months make during the first year of life! I know this intuitively – both as a mom and a photographer – but it never ceases to amaze me how much they’ve grown and all the developmental milestones they’ve crossed in just three-month intervals. We’re capturing this little guy four times this year (you might remember him from his beautiful rocking chair images) and I’ll be posting more of his session images later this week. For now, here are a few for mom and dad (and grandma!) that made my heart smile.

Let’s hear it for the boy(s) – [Kansas City child photography]
I’m dating myself with that song reference, but I couldn’t help but hum along as I was putting the finishing touches on these images. Yes, we posed for a few shots and even let mom in on the action, but the fun really started when we got down to “business” and just let boys be boys. Thank you, gang, for a terrific morning!
Meet David and Luke.
Super speedy best buds. Blue-eyed bandits. Muscle men in the making. And brothers.

Boy(s) … were we busy! – [Kansas City child photography]
More from these guys and their gorgeous mama later this week, but for now, here’s a quick peek. I’m laughing out loud at the little guy because we captured his personality to a “t” as you’ll see when I post their slideshow and full gallery in a few days. Thanks to mom for being so patient with me as I get caught up from the past two weeks! In the meantime, enjoy the “sweet” and the “boys just being boys” captured below.

Anything but ordinary – [Kansas City family/child photography]
This family has been so patient awaiting their images as I dealt with an unexpected medical issue the past two weeks, and I want to say a huge THANK YOU. I’ve said it before, but it’s worth saying again: I have the very best clients! Everyone has been so understanding as I get back on my feet and — thankfully – back to the computer for post-processing and behind the lens for a long list of upcoming fall/winter sessions.
This is going to be one long “sneak peek” … and not really a “sneak” at all because these are my very favorites below and the rest of their session images are in the slideshow. It’s safe to say this session was far from ordinary and this family really knows how to have fun. I love capturing the moments when people are just being people, along with the more “posed” shots. And, thanks to the amazing color we found downtown, I didn’t do one black and white conversion in the whole bunch.
Enjoy these and keep checking back as the blog (and I) get moving again!
