Blog and site will be down 2/28 after midnight through weekend
Sometime after midnight tomorrow night (Friday) for a period of 24-48 hours, this blog and my website (www.kamibradyphotography.com) will be unavailable. This will include my kami@kamibradyphotography(dot)com email address. I’m told it should be up and running again at latest by Sunday. This is so the team at IX WebHosting can move a ton of sites – including yours truly – to a bigger and better server farm. So I’m holding my breath that all goes well. Thanks in advance for your patience!

A little star is born
Just six weeks old and already she has a love affair with the camera. I had truly never seen a little one this age appear to be posing! We were in awe of her fascination with the sound of the camera shutter. These are just a handful of my favorite images from our session. The sweet, vintage chair proved to be just the ticket for a little beauty to get her rest. And then there was mom’s stunning antique wedding ring, the perfect accessory for tiny toes.
It should come as no surprise that her name is Latin for “star.”
Meet Stella.

Catching perfectly ‘imperfect’ moments
I admit it. I’m a sucker when it comes to the latest and greatest toys … the ones that light up, sound off, whiz around and generally eat a few batteries a week. So this post is for my dear husband who always says “when I was little, we were happy with a box and a stick.” To which I promptly begin to sell the educational merits of Fisher-Price’s newest lineup. But … if a picture is truly worth a thousand words, then apparently all you really need is a box and your jammies on a Sunday morning. Oh, and it wouldn’t hurt to have a slide and a cool Uncle Kory willing to send you flying head first down the curvy part.
Yep. Sometimes it’s not about how perfect the composition is or getting just the right lighting. It’s about catching those perfectly imperfect moments. They fly by as fast as you can say “Go again, Uncle Kory, again.”

Custom-designed birth announcements
Remember the beautiful twin boys from a few posts back? This is the custom-designed birth announcement we created especially for them (last name blurred for privacy). This announcement is 5×7 front and back, and mom chose an art linen card stock. The horizontal, colorful pattern on the front is actually from their nursery bedding, so these are perfect for framing … little pieces of art unto themselves. That’s the goal of every session and its resulting imagery. I’m actually ordering a large print of the front for the studio! The possibilities are endless with custom-designed press printed products. Engagements, birthdays, anniversaries or “just because” blank note cards. All are a little more personal, a little more special when you know they’re truly unique to you.
Enjoy these two little miracles.
